To ensure the safety and well-being of the youth in our care and to meet Scouts Canada duty of care policies we require adults camping with youth to have certain basic training. A minimum of the following is required before a group may take youth camping at Everton:
It is satisfactory for a single person in the group to meet the First Aid and Woodbadge requirements; however, we invite and encourage all Scouters working with youth to participate in the training courses offered.
Here are our Camp fees (7 Kb PDF). Adjustments are being made to the fees – Please confirm fees when booking.
The National and Provincial Councils have mandated that the scout camps must become self sustaining. We can no longer afford to take a lenient attitude. Council have instructed staff to strictly enforce the Payment Policy for Camp Bookings. What does this mean? It means that payment in full must be made before any camp booking will be entered in the reservations book.
There will be no "deposits" taken to reserve a place, full payment must be tendered. There will be no cancellation refunds. If you wish to cancel a reservation you should notify Scout House immediately. If the facility can be rebooked then there will be a refund. Change of date is subject to the same policy as a cancellation so be sure of your date before making a reservation.
Lost revenue due to cancellations, no shows and last minute changes previously kept us from making that break even point. Camp Everton is one of the most beautiful camps in the Province. We need your co-operation to keep it that way and to keep it in Scouting.
Scouters and their families are welcome to go to one of the camps for a hike or day visit. If you go to Camp Everton, please check in with the Camp Ranger at the Ranger's house or the Camp Master at Kumpf Cottage.
Dogs may be taken to a camp for the day but they must remain on a leash at all times and a poop-n-scoop policy is in effect. Dogs cannot be kept over night at the camps. |
